At May 23's "Teach Smarter, Not Harder: Using AI in ESL Instruction and Administrative Tasks" workshop, we got this data from the attendees, with the highest number apparently not having received any "guidance on AI use" in their workplace.

Especially if you weren't at the workshop -
What "guidance" have you received, or might you want to receive, regarding AI use in your work? (Advice, or even policy for what is acceptable and not acceptable, etc.)

Summer is coming! 😎☀️🌴
(Or it is already here, arguably.)

We are wondering:
How does summer affect your classes, very generally?
Are you actually off for the summer?
Is your student attendance / participation lower? Higher?
Do you take advantage of the weather at all, bringing your students on 'field trips' to fun / interesting summertime locations?

Please discuss in the comments! :)

At last Saturday's Teach Smarter, Not Harder: Using AI in ESL Instruction and Administrative Tasks workshop, it was a pleasure to have participants from the Queen's School of English, KL&S, Loyola, KEYS, Immigrant Services Kingston and Area, Monarch Languages, Achev, and CFB Kingston.

Everybody benefitted from a very engaging morning of sharing, advice, and networking, and we want to thank everyone for joining us!

"Field trips" are something that a lot of us might have memories of from when we were kids in school, but many teachers see value in them for adult learners, too.

In the comments:
What is your experience of trips outside the classroom, with your students?
Do you see the benefit of them?
What difficulties or complications might you face, in trying to organize them?
