Our camp counsellors and coaches have been busy getting everything ready for camp. Nametags sorted, sports equipment counted twice, balls pumped, activities all lined up!

There’s a lot that goes into making sure the next two weeks run smooth for our campers, and this crew has shown up for every bit of it! We want to thank ALL the amazing volunteer counsellors that have poured into serving and giving their time and commitment to all the meetings and preps. We are so blessed to have such an amazing team! ❤️

On Monday- it’s show time! Two weeks of games, laughter, and campers finding out a little more about who God made them to be. We can’t wait to finally kick off the first DCA Summer Sports Camp!! 🏀⚽️🥅🏐

People keep asking us how the DCA Summer Sports Camp packs so much into one week, so here is the answer. We built this with an incredible group of partners, and an amazing team of volunteers.

CYBL is running our basketball program, which means real coaching and real skill building, not just kids shooting around unsupervised. Science Quest is bringing STEM to camp so our kids get to build, experiment and ask a hundred questions a day. Not So Amateur Amateurs (NSAA) is leading theatre and drama, giving campers a chance to be loud, creative and a little dramatic in the best way. And Kingston School of Dance (KSD) just joined the lineup to run dance and movement, because kids need to move their bodies and camp should feel like a full sensory experience.

Add in daily devotions, praise and worship, arts and crafts, and a whole team of volunteers who love these kids fiercely, and you start to see why we are so proud of what we are piloting this year.

Every single piece of camp points back to one thing: that every kid is CALLED UP by the Lord, known by name, made with a purpose. Isaiah 43:1 says, "I have called you by name, you are mine."

If you were hoping for Week 1 and missed it, do not lose hope, we are opening up a waitlist for Week 1, and Week 2 (August 17-21) still has some spots open, but they are going quickly! If your kid needs to be part of this summer, now is the time.

We are so excited to announce another incredible collaboration for the DCA Summer Sports Camp 2026!

We are welcoming Not So Amateur Amateurs to the camp family! NSAA is a Kingston-based theatre company that brings storytelling, performance, and creative expression to life, and they're going to be bringing that same energy right into our classrooms. Learn more about them at www.nsaatheatre.com.

After a morning out on the field, campers will get to step into a whole different kind of fun. Think skits, improv, character building, and the kind of creative play that gets kids laughing, thinking, and coming out of their shells. It's the perfect complement to everything we're already doing, and it fits right in with the heart behind this camp: shaping kids to be confident, expressive, and grounded in their identity in Christ.

Not So Amateur Amateurs | Young People's Theatre | Camps | Kingston The Not So Amateur Amateurs have been entertaining audiences in Kingston and the surrounding area for over a decade! Offering drama classes, summer camps, and of course countless productions, we are dedicated to showcasing the talents of youth in the Kingston area!

We're teaming up with the Christian Youth Basketball League to run basketball training at the 2026 DCA Summer Sports Camp! 🥳

CYBL has been doing incredible work in this city. Empowering youth through mentorship and basketball, with a vision to help young people discover who God is through basketball. That's exactly the kind of energy we want our campers to be around this August.

This is what community looks like. Two organizations, same city, same heart, showing up for kids together. We're not just running a camp, we're investing in our community, and we're so grateful to have CYBL in our corner.

Sports camp with STEM? Why not! This summer, we're combining both.
We're so excited to announce that we are collaborating with Science Quest Kingston to bring hands-on STEM programming to the 2026 DCA Summer Sports Camp! 🥳

Science Quest offers engaging and accessible STEM programming through the Engineering Society of Queen's University. So between the court and the classroom, kids will be building, experimenting, and thinking in ways they didn't expect from a sports camp.

We want them to leave knowing that God created them to build and do great things, for His glory!
