Jodi Cooley and Art McDonald had the opportunity to share SNOLAB science with Diana Fox Carney. The conversation highlighted how being deep underground allows SNOLAB to tackle fundamental questions about the universe, and how Canadian leadership continues to grow through global collaboration. We also discussed emerging opportunities in underground science, including quantum technologies, where SNOLAB is helping lead international efforts through partnerships such as the North-South Exchange for underground Science (NEXUS).
Sincere thanks to Sudbury MP Viviane Lapointe for organizing the visit and for her continued support of science, research, and innovation in Northern Ontario and across Canada. We’re excited to keep these conversations going.
