Happy Canada Day!

Did you know? Canada Day used to be known as Dominion Day from 1879 to 1982, celebrating the Dominion of Canada. Sir Leonard Tilley, one of our founding fathers, dubbed the newly formed nation a 'Dominion', supposedly drawing inspiration from Psalm 72:8: He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

𝐴𝑑 𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑢𝑠𝑞𝑢𝑒 𝑎𝑑 𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑒 - from sea to sea - is also Canada's motto and is also drawn from Psalm 72.

Our annual golf tournament fundraiser is an amazing way to cap off another great school year and officially usher in summer. ☀️🏌️

Thank you to the 120 people who joined us on Friday to help us raise funds for our high school expansion and enjoy an amazing afternoon on the links at Loyalist Golf and Country Club! Over $12,800 was raised in support of our expansion including our incoming Grade 11s!

Following our recent graduation ceremonies, we put a bow on the year by celebrating our students with a KCS tradition: the clap out!

Congratulations to all those marking a milestone year, and best wishes to those going on to other studies. To our returning families: we look forward to welcoming you back in the fall and wish you all a restful summer.

We recently hosted Kim P**c, a South Vietnamese-born Canadian woman best known as the child depicted in the Pulitzer Prize–winning photograph titled The Terror of War.

She gave her testimony and spoke about her work in establishing The KIM Foundation International to help child-victims of war, violence, and deprivation.

Thank you to Kim for helping history “come to life” for our students through your experience of the Vietnam War.
