Queen's Running & Reading is an elementary after-school program aimed at empowering at-risk children through running activities and literacy building.

Queen's Running and Reading is part of Canada's Start2Finish program, aimed at empowering impoverished youth across the country. Meeting once a week at Frontenac Public School, our volunteer coaches organize and participate in games aimed at improving both the physical and mental health of participating kids. The last 30 minutes of each session is dedicated to reading, where coaches and kids pair

Had a great first session yesterday at Frontenac Public School, thank you so much to all the volunteers who came out! We have plenty of new ideas for Running & Reading this year, so please keep coming out and encouraging your friends to do the same. Until next week!

Hello everybody. This is a reminder to previous volunteers and new volunteers (who have been contacted) that orientation is today at FPS (38 Cowdy St) @ 3pm. Taylor Kotachapaw and Nick Wheeler-Hughes will be out front of the Queens Athletics and Recreation Centre at 2:30 to walk volunteers to FPS.
