✨There are so many benefits to participating in our incredible child-led, nature-rich, mixed-age weekly programs!
🎯Forest & Nature School (FNS) boosts focus! Sensory-rich spaces improve concentration and reduce mental fatigue.
🧗FNS builds stamina & perseverance! Active outdoor play in all weather helps build physical stamina, resilience in challenging weather, and a positive relationship with the environment.
🎨FNS ignites creativity! Inquiry-based learning and lots of time for free play encourage imagination and problem-solving, innovation and exploration.
🦝FNS enhances gross and fine motor skills! Climbing, swinging, running, jumping, navigating uneven terrain, collecting sticks, building, creating nature art, balancing on logs – it all builds gross and fine motor strength.
🔥FNS fosters healthy risk-taking! Age-appropriate adult-supported risky play allows kids to assess hazards and risks, test boundaries, learn to trust their instincts, and build confidence.
💞FNS develops collaboration skills! Our small groups and low ratios mean that we can support lots of peer-to-peer interactions, group projects, and opportunities for children to practice active listening, communication, negotiation, leadership and teamwork.
🍃FNS lowers stress! Immersing yourself in nature on a regular basis balances the nervous system and supports building self-regulation skills.
🌎FNS promotes eco-literacy & sustainability! Spending time getting to know the local flora and fauna in a play-based child-led manner naturally opens the doors to conversations around ecological impact, stewardship, Indigenous Land-based learning, conservation and advocacy.
💥And there’s so much more! You’ll have to register and come find out for yourself just how many benefits there are!
Registration for our Fall 2026 Session opens to new families on Monday, June 15th. Sign up for our newsletter or fill out our Expression of Interest form (both linked in our bio) to ensure that you get the link when registration opens!
