February of 2024 was a productive month for students taking the PPAER written exams at the Club. Congrats to Dave, Guglielmo, and Ethan on three successful PPL written exams!

We are pleased to have conducted the first authorized Transport Canada flight exam since the COVID-19 pause in operations and the retirement of former Invigilator Mike Hill after 10 years of stellar service to the club.

GROUND SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT:
The KFC is about to run a PPL/RPP Ground School that meets all the TCCA requirements. The start date proposed will be the last week of October– on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening with a start time of 18:30.
Classes will run one night per week, three hours per night, for 15 weeks. Delivery method will be hybrid – combo of in class (max number six) and ZOOM video conferencing. The cost for books and classroom instruction is $791.00.
To reserve a spot in the class, please call KFC at 613-389-0954. Please call asap, so that books and materials can be ordered and arrive in time. Full payment is required at the time of reservation for classes, and can be made over the phone by credit card.

Many of you know our frequent examiner and friend Jo-Anne Tabobandung.... What you might not know is her deep involvement and inspirational leadership of the FNTI flight training branch and the success she's having raising the aviation industry and aviation skills level not just within the First Nations but setting an inspiring example nationally

PLEASE NOTE ... as of the evening of Aug 2 2020 the Kingston Flying Club has installed UV sterilizing lamp(s) ...
They will normally run for at least 1.5 hours after the departure of the last staff member daily for the duration of the Covid-19 emergency
If you need to enter the club between, notionally, the hours of 5:30 PM local and 7PM local, please alert the staff of your intent by at least 4PM local . Normally, arrangements will be made for you if your entrance is a matter of urgency.
There is also ozone production during this time and it unwise to enter the main club area for one hour after the cessation of the sterilization protocol.
