Some days you thrive, others you just survive.

Today, I faced an interesting challenge of a non-stop nosebleed while giving an interview (by phone, thank goodness) with the Wall Street Journal.

Yep - that's a tampon up my nose.

Whether it's an interview or exams - we are all just trying to make it through the day.

We can handle anything. It just might not be graceful haha

Every day, students tell me how badly they are doing.

They tell me they are going to fail their classes.

They say they didn't get as much work done this weekend as they planned.

They cry as they share that they are behind everyone else.

But guess what?

It's not real.

It feels very real, and that is valid, but you are doing way better than you think you are.

Not a single person I talked to this week was actually at risk of failing any of their classes.

I am not saying it's going to be easy (hello econ!!!) but this isn't make or break. You will be okay.

Fun fact. The first time someone wrote GOAT on a feedback form I cried.

It was the calc midterm review session and I thought I had killed it. Instead all I got, form after form, was 🐐. I thought how could ppl be so mean.

Moral of the story is I am old and the review session was good.

Now this is how most of my Christmas cards are addressed
