Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 cohort of the First Nations STEM Futures Academy at Queen’s University.
The Academy is a fully funded, year-round support program designed for First Nations students entering Grade 9 this fall. Through mentorship, academic support, STEM enrichment, leadership development, and on-campus experiences, students are supported throughout their high school journey while remaining connected to their communities.
This program is ideal for students who are currently demonstrating strong potential and expressing interest in exploring future opportunities in STEM, leadership, postsecondary education, and related career pathways.
Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to:
• Connect with Indigenous STEM mentors and role models
• Participate in virtual STEM workshops and academic supports
• Explore postsecondary pathways and future careers
• Build confidence, leadership, and community connections
• Participate in on-campus experiences at Queen’s University
