So excited to meet our BSS Class of 2030!

Ben: A teacher retirement that I’ve got a little connection to. Brenda Scarlett started at Bayridge Secondary in 1997, back when I was a student there, and for almost 30 years has practically radiated energy, positivity, and fun throughout the halls. In addition to teaching, she’s put so much of herself into endless school events that, when you look back, made you love Bayridge as much as she does.

Unlike many BSS teachers, Brenda didn’t attend the school, but I hear she was made an honorary Bayridge grad for her retirement and that’s the most beauuuutifully fitting gift I can possibly think of. A big thanks for all those years and cheers to your next chapter, Brenda! 👏

Reid and Ben: Huge discovery at Bayridge Secondary today - they have a teacher named Ben Reed! We popped by today to help judge their annual lip sync competition on Blazer Day and had a great time. Cheers to everyone who participated (and to the public schools who came out to discover what a great high school Bayridge is). 🙌
