At this past year's Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA) Conference, we hosted a booth activity that invited attendees to share their insights and perspectives. Inspired by the values represented in our logo and branding, we designed a collaborative activity modeled after a honeycomb—a symbol of hard work, community, nurturing, and care. These qualities perfectly capture the spirit of the ONTABA community, where every contribution strengthens and supports our collective growth!

Within this honeycomb, we had prompts corresponding to a specific colour including:

Bright yellow🌟: What core values guide your approach to your practice?
Orange🧡: What is one important lesson you’ve learned from collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team?
Red❤️: What fills your cup after a long day?
White🤍: What is a message you’d like to give to someone newly entering the field, or what is something you would tell your younger self?
Yellow💛: If you could share one essential message about ABA with the public and community, what would it be?
Bees🐝: Encouraging messages

We had an overwhelming amount of responses and engagement from everyone who came by the booth, and it was fulfilling to connect with the ONTABA community and share ideas, thoughts, and stories.

Uniting and supporting those around us—whether it's a fellow therapist, clients, families, or our own communities—is a fundamental aspect of the work we do. There’s so much we can learn from each other when we come together. Keep inspiring, making meaningful change, and continuing to fuel your passions.

April 2nd marks World Autism Awareness Day! Today and every day, we stand together to celebrate the beauty of neurodiversity and the incredible individuals on the autism spectrum. 🌈

Today is a day to not only raise awareness, but also a reminder that celebration, advocacy, and acceptance should be ongoing. Let's continue to create inclusive environments where everyone can thrive, where differences are respected, and where we actively support those with autism in every aspect of life.

Neurodiversity is about creating a world where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered.

BBS Conference Update: Pausing for 2025

Unfortunately, due to restructuring happening within the college system and variables outside of our control, we are unable to host the annual BBS conference this year.

We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to attending this year, but we hope we can resume hosting this conference in the future!
