Revved Up

Revved Up Revved Up provides an adapted exercise program service that promotes physical activity for those with mobility impairments and developmental disabilities.

Our goal is to improve the quality of life and to encourage healthy living. We currently have two programs, Circuit and Mobility, that provide supportive environments for individuals to meet their physical and social goals. All participants are assessed during their first session with a CSEPcertified personal trainer. Following assessments, participants can attend 2 exercise sessions per week to w

ork toward their individual goals. All participants are paired with a trained student-volunteer from Queens University. The price for a Mobility participant is $80 for a 4-month period. For more information about becoming a Mobility or Circuit participant or to inquire about current volunteer opportunities, please contact Revved Up at [email protected]

Aug 4 – 7th in the Revved Up gym is Volunteer Appreciation Week! This week is meant to highlight the dedication and hard work our volunteer coaches and staff have committed all summer! Please note, we are NOT to gift give or give monetary gifts to our coaches! Instead, we will have a shout-out board in the gym where you can write some kind words about your experience this summer. We can also say thank you to our coaches during the sessions this week and give out extra high-fives or fist bumps!

Just a reminder that Revved Up will be closed on Monday, August 3rd. All session are cancelled.

Happy Move Monday!

Today we are taking a look at some of the grip aids that we use in the Revved Up gym. Grip aids are a tool that is used in the gym for individuals with low grip strength in their hands to allow them to hold onto something such as a dumbbell, bike handle, row handle, lat pulldown bar (and so much more). Some of the grip aids we use are: active hands, hook aids, and medicine ball handles!
