Today, our team had the privilege of attending the Kingston Secondary School Career/Trade Fair! We loved connecting with curious students, passionate educators, and community partners who share our vision of empowering the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. Events like this remind us how powerful it is when young minds explore the many pathways in engineering, technology and skilled trades. Thank you KSS for hosting such an inspiring day of learning and discovery!

We have just wrapped up our second Drivers of Innovation: Autonomous Vehicle Challenge workshop! Our participants explored an introduction into the cutting-edge world of autonomous vehicles through hands-on building, teamwork and problem-solving. They’re already showing the creativity and DRIVE (😏) that will shape the future of innovation.
This is just the beginning - we can’t wait to see where the challenge takes them next!

Another great week at QSEA! πŸŽ‰

Our EngGears had a blast this week using the engineering design process to build and test air powered cars, space landers, animal crossings, camera obscuras, and sustainable houses. We practiced our coding skills to build carnival rides and mars rovers with LEGO Spike, prosthetic hands with Micro:bits, and virtual reality movie scenes in CoSpaces. A huge thank you to the Miller Museum and for another incredible week of field trips!

Our QSEA Senior - Engineering Future Frontiers group used their coding skills to create laser cut name plates spelled in ASL, a python colour tracking system, and working automatic doors using the Huskylens. Students designed their own video games and built circuits for working controllers, and invited our EngGears to test out their games! Thank you to , .labs, , the Mechatronics and Robotics lab, and the Human Mobility Lab for the incredible presentations and workshops this week!
