The van Anders Lab

Greetings!

We are recruiting participants who don't have sexual identity labels, don't use them, don't like them, or don't have one that works for them. We are interested in the sexuality of people who don't use/identify with sexual identity labels.

The eligibility criteria that participants must meet includes being over the age of 18 years old, must be comfortable reading and writing in English, must be located within Canada or the USA, must have a computer with internet access and must be sighted or have corrected vision.

This research involves answering multiple-choice questions and completing diagrams.

Participants will first complete a screener survey (~10 minutes) and have the opportunity to win one of four $50 CAD (or $40 USD) Amazon gift cards. Then, eligible participants will be invited to the main survey (~40 minutes) and have another opportunity to win one of four $50 CAD (or $40 USD) Amazon gift cards.

The Principal Investigators in this study are Sari van Anders, PhD, and Sadie Levine, B.Sc., Queen’s University. This study has been reviewed for ethical compliance by the Queen's University General Research Ethics Board.

We are currently conducting a research study on sexual fantasy. You are eligible if you are:

• 18 years or older
• Currently reside in the USA or Canada
• comfortable reading and writing in English
• have access to a computer
• currently in a committed relationship lasting 7 months or more
• comfortable answering questions of a sexual nature

We welcome people of all genders, sexes, and backgrounds.

This survey should take no more than 12 minutes, and 1 in 10 participants will receive a $25 USD or $30 CAD via an Amazon gift card (.com for USD; .ca for CAD), PayPal, or e-transfer (Canada only). Based on your survey responses, you may be eligible to participate in a second online study for $6.20 USD / $7.50 CAD.
