SUMAC North

SUMAC North SUMAC North provides Nature workshops and hikes in the Toronto North York area, aimed at both children and adults. But this takes love, knowledge and learning.

I started SUMAC after years of working at and directing various camps and working as a program Director and naturalist at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. Our world is inspiring and incredible, yet day by day it is disappearing around us. More and more people are seeing that we need to protect our planet, our home. "We cannot protect something we do not love, we cannot love what we do not know, and we cannot know what we do not see. Or hear. Or sense."
~Richard Louv

It is very apparent in today's world that we need to CONNECT with the world around us. That is what I hope to do. Connect people from my community with the greater part of theirs, the natural world.
