I often get asked how long an Orton Gillingham program lasts.

This is hard to say, there are many factors to this outcome:
👉 How often are the sessions per week?

👉 What is the diagnosis of the student (if they even have one)

👉 How much intervention is required and how behind the student is

👉 How effective are the sessions? Can the student maintain focus the whole time

👉And more!

All these factors contribute to the length and how long OG will take. You will definitely see progress faster than a traditional reading program, but just because you see progress does not mean our work is done.

OG requires commitment and dedication, this style of learning to read and write is highly beneficial, specifically when it is done consistently and routinely.

20% of students experience a struggling in reading, and this percentage keeps growing.

In a classroom, when a student is frustrated, stressed and checked out, no learning gets done, and their lack of confidence hinders their ability to shine ✨

OG helps support and bring back the love of reading by actually TEACHING students, systemically and meticulously, the rules and methods to be a better and more confident reader.
