Our collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters and their In-School Mentoring Program continues to make a huge difference in the lives of our students. These meaningful one-on-one connections provide students with someone to talk to, spend time with, and build a positive relationship with each week.

We continue to have a waitlist of Lightning Hawk students who would benefit from having a mentor — and we need your help! 💙

The First Rider Program promotes education and awareness on school bus safety for young children riding a school bus for the first time and their parents/guardians.

This year, a video-only program is being offered instead of an in-person event. Families are invited to watch the video together.

As we get ready for another school year, we’re sharing our suggested school supply list for families who are interested in purchasing supplies ahead of September. Please remember that these are suggested items and families should not feel obligated to purchase everything on the list.

Bluewater District School Board, Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, and Shared School Services are pleased to share that an agreement in principle has been reached with our bus operators. As such, student transportation will proceed as normal for the start of the school year in September!

✅ Important: Families must opt in for transportation for each child through the Edulog Parent Portal App. Students will not be assigned to a bus route unless this step is completed.

Thank you to our bus operators, staff, and families for your patience throughout this process. We're looking forward to a great start to the school year!

Together, Bluewater District School Board, Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, and Shared School Services are working to ensure reliable student transportation for the beginning of the school year.

Despite our continued efforts, we have not yet reached a resolution with our bus operators. We want to be transparent with families: bus service may not be available for all students at the start of the school year in September. As a result, families should be prepared to arrange alternative transportation for their children if needed.

We recognize and understand the challenges this may present for our families and are committed to keeping families informed as this situation develops.

Happy Summer!

As another school year comes to a close, we'd like to wish all of our students, families, and staff a wonderful summer break!

Please note that the school office is now closed and will reopen on August 24.

Now is a great time to set up transportation for next school year.

Most school offices close after the first week of July and reopen in mid-August. Signing up early in the NEW Edulog Parent Portal app gives you time to ask questions and avoid delays.

Take a few minutes now to opt in to help Transportation plan and feel prepared for September.
