🥾Four Host Sisters, One Unforgettable Adventure! 🇨🇦

Arlet 🇪🇸, Mila 🇧🇪, Laura 🇧🇷, and Satsuki 🇯🇵 are discovering that homestay, friendship and adventure can bring the world a little closer together! 🌎💕

These four host sisters, from two Cranbrook host families, recently hit the trails for a beautiful hiking adventure in the Bugaboos of southeastern BC. ⛰️

Along the way, they shared laughter, explored the great outdoors and made memories that will last long after their exchange experience ends.

Though they come from four different corners of the world, they’re sharing so much more than a hiking trail—they’re sharing everyday moments, encouraging each other through challenges, and building a special bond that makes their time in Canada feel a little more like home. 🏡💚

Four countries, two host families, one big sisterhood, and countless memories in the making! 🇪🇸🇧🇪🇯🇵🇧🇷🇨🇦

One RMISP host family community. ❤️

Over the past few weeks, our homestay team was out and about, bringing RMISP host families together for our September Meet & Greets! 🎉

From snacks and door prizes to conversations and plenty of laughs, these gatherings were all about connecting, sharing, and celebrating the amazing people who open their homes and hearts to international students. 🌎🏡

A big thank you to all our host families, Homestay Coordinators, our tireless Homestay Manager Saori Imano, and everyone who made these gatherings so special!

At RMISP, our Homestay Coordinators play a big role in helping international students feel welcome, supported, and at home while studying in Canada.

We're excited to introduce Daniela Linklater, who supports our students and host families in Golden, and Amy Anderson who works with our students and families in the Shuswap-North Okanagan [Salmon Arm, Enderby, Armstrong and Sicamous].

Throughout the school year, our coordinators check in regularly with students at school, help them navigate life in a new country, support their well-being, and assist with everything from cultural adjustment to everyday questions about school and homestay life.

They are an important part of the RMISP support team, helping students make connections, overcome challenges, and get the most out of their Canadian experience.

What a fantastic way to kick off the school year! 🎉🍕🏆

Our Program Orientation was packed with fun activities, friendly competition, prizes, and pizza! Most importantly, it was an opportunity for our students from around the world to connect, make new friends, and start building unforgettable memories together.

A huge thank you to our students for bringing such positive energy and enthusiasm to every activity. Your willingness to participate, cheer each other on, and try new things made the day a huge success. We’d also like to thank our amazing RMISP homestay team for helping create such a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone. ❤️

We loved seeing the smiles, laughs, and engagement throughout the day. Here's to an amazing year ahead at RMISP! 👏

Today marks the beginning of arrival season, and we are excited to start welcoming our international students to Rocky Mountain International Student Program! ✈️🏔️

So proud of Luisa 🇩🇪 who earned Most Improved and Top Shot awards in her Cadet corps! 💙

Cadets gives international students a chance to develop skills, find their strengths, and become leaders. Luisa showed up, worked hard, and pushed herself every step of the way—and it truly paid off. 👏🎖️

And just like that… the final chapter.

From the excitement of our Amazing Race to the bittersweet goodbyes at the airport, we ended the year exactly how we spent it: with adventure, connection, and a whole lot of heart.

Goodbye to our incredible students—thank you for everything you brought to our communities. Your courage, energy, and spirit made this year truly unforgettable. 💙

A heartfelt thank you as well to our wonderful host families. Without your generosity and welcoming homes, none of this would have been possible.
These moments may be over, but the memories and friendships are here to stay.
