Meet our new Invermere Homestay Coordinator, Alysha!
Alysha grew up in New Brunswick, Canada and slowly made her way west, eventually planting roots in Radium Hot Springs where the Rocky Mountains have become her home.
She’s now in her third year of a psychology degree and runs a small organic homestead and nature‑based craft business with her family. When she’s not tending to chickens, you’ll find her teaching ESL, hosting community gatherings, or sharing handmade creations at the local Farmer’s Market with her daughters.
Alysha is excited to welcome students from around the world and help them build meaningful connections in this beautiful corner of the Rockies. She believes every student brings a piece of the world with them — and these human connections are among the most valuable things we can offer one another.
Help us welcome Alysha to the team! 🌎💛

😎 115 students. 9 communities. 1 unforgettable day.
Our trip to Golden Skybridge Adventure Park brought our students together from across our region to laugh, climb, explore, and cheer each other on.
Watching students create lasting memories while stepping (way) outside their comfort zones was the real highlight. Here’s to adventure, connection, and a day we’ll be talking about for a long time.

🌟 Welcome to the RMISP Team, Saori! 🌟
We are excited to introduce our new Homestay Manager, Saori Imano.
Saori brings over 15 years of experience in international education at the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, where she has supported students through homestay programs, student services, and immigration advising.
As a former international student from Japan, Saori truly understands both the excitement and the challenges that come with studying abroad — and she brings that empathy and insight into everything she does.
In her new role, Saori is committed to working alongside the RMISP team to create positive, meaningful experiences for both students and host families. Her passion for building connections and supporting student success will be a tremendous asset to our communities.
Please join us in giving Saori a warm welcome! 👏

⛳🍔 Golf Activity Highlights! 🍔⛳
Our April included activity was an absolute blast!
From community to community, students got the chance to practice their driving, pitching, and putting skills at their local golf clubs, followed by some great food and even better company.
📸 Take a look at these snapshots of our students in action — learning, laughing, and cheering each other on!
A big thank you to everyone who made these events possible in each community. We love seeing our students come together in such positive and engaging ways! 🏌️♂️✨

Just wrapped up another full day of adventures in Vancouver! 🌆✨
From the natural beauty of Stanley Park to soaring over the country at FlyOver Canada, our students experienced Canada from every angle. We wandered through downtown, stepped back in time in Gastown, and shared a classic dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory 🍝
The perfect ending? Cheering on the Vancouver Canucks and feeling the energy of the city come alive! 🏒💙
So many memories made, friendships growing, and experiences that will last a lifetime. 🇨🇦
