Love it when things come together! Finally after three years of trying to teach a client to ride thier bike it happened today! I was so excited for them I was crying! Patience, perseverance and confidence and finally it all came together.

PDA can affect people in many different ways, and we know it can sometimes be challenging to understand.

To help, we've created a free webinar that raises awareness and sheds light on how PDA can present across ages and experiences: https://ow.ly/BK0a50U9Sra

As one person in the video explains, "A demand is something I want to do but can’t because I'm telling myself to do it."

This video combines experiences from children, young people, and adults, as they share their unique perspectives on living with the PDA.

Whether you're supporting someone with PDA or simply want to learn more, this resource is here for you.

We have a public survey open until Friday, July 5, 2024, asking parents and families what they need to help build and support childcare services in .

We're specifically looking for engagement from parents and families so the City can fully understand the childcare needs of the community. The survey is another opportunity to gather feedback, following initial engagement in 2020 to develop the Cranbrook Child Care Action Plan, and to ensure the community’s childcare needs have not dramatically changed over the past four years.

The survey takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes to complete. The results will help inform and confirm the City’s need for additional childcare spaces and provide valuable feedback as to the demand for specific forms of childcare.

Families, parents, and those requiring childcare in the future can access the survey online. Copies of the survey are also available at Cranbrook City Hall and the pool desk at Western Financial Place. The survey will be available until Friday, July 5, 2024.

A reminder to celebrate the small wins. They might not look like much to outsiders, but they are huge!

Some may see a saucepan on the table

I see my boy eating at the table with his mum

We celebrate every win
I'll take it.

Usually Carson doesn't sit at the table
He doesn't like plates
So he eats in the kitchen
Either sat on the floor or standing

Today he picked up the saucepan ( it's cooled)
And went and sat at the table
Lots of praise from us
Then we ate

Something so simple was so wonderful
