Berries: I like painting red ones, they are the most popular in BC I think, Rose Hips, Kinnikinnick, Huckleberry or even Salmon Berry. Though there are tons of others which prompts the use of language skills. Why are they red? Why are they that shape? What animals do you think eat these berries? And so much more! 🫐
Snail: if you know me you know I love a good snail. Sometimes a hard one to find. If taken to the forest as a search and find prompt this could spark a lot of discussion and observation as to where a snail would live.
Squirrel: Our ever adorable squirrel. The American Red Squirrel or Douglas Squirrel are our native species, that pesky grey squirrel is invasive! I kinda blend the two native ones together for this one in the hopes to bring attention to what you may see out of urban centers.
Bee: For this custom order i was told the little one that was having this gifted to loved bees so I went bug and bold! Normally I do a bit of a subdued bee for my regular scavenger hunts but I thought why not celebrate this beautiful insect as much as her new owner would.
Fish: Not a regular in my scavenger hunts but the family loves fishing and I used my Beam Paints to add the shimmer of the rainbow trout. I really love this and I love using my beam paints to add a little bit of natural sparkle when I can.
