The next chapter is almost here for Rylan! This fall, Rylan will be heading to Humber Polytechnic to begin the Bachelor of Interior Design program.

What makes this pathway especially interesting? Rylan will be earning a university degree in a college/polytechnic setting; bringing together the academic credentials of a degree with the hands-on, applied learning environment that colleges and polytechnics are known for.

For students who want a university degree but also value practical, career-focused learning, programs like this can offer the best of both worlds.

This is exactly why exploring all post-secondary pathways is so important when choosing the right fit!

Congratulations, Rylan! Wishing you an exciting start to your Interior Design journey at Humber!

Congratulations to Kennedy on her acceptance to Trent University's Bachelor of Arts & Science/Medical Sciences – Trent/Swansea Dual Degree Program!

This unique program allows students to study in both Canada and Wales (UK), earning two bachelor's degrees in just four years while gaining an incredible international education experience.

Through our career counselling process, Kennedy's assessments consistently highlighted strengths in medical sciences, scientific research, and health care, making this an outstanding fit for her interests and future goals.

There are so many amazing post-secondary opportunities that students and parents don't always know exist. My goal is to help students discover programs that truly match their strengths, interests, and aspirations; not just the ones they've heard about.

If your Grade 10, 11, or 12 student is starting to think about life after high school, let's find the pathway that's right for them.

Congratulations to Brendan on choosing the Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) program at the University of Guelph!

Brendan's career assessments highlighted strengths in leadership, business, organization, and problem-solving, along with a strong enterprising mindset. His results pointed toward careers involving management, finance, sales, administration, and leadership, making Business an excellent fit.

One of the things I love about Guelph's co-op program is that it gives students the opportunity to apply what they're learning in the classroom to real workplaces. Co-op helps students build practical experience, develop professional skills, make valuable industry connections, and often gives them a clearer sense of the career path they want to pursue after graduation. Employers consistently value graduates who have relevant work experience before entering the workforce.

Congratulations again, Brendan! Wishing you all the best as you begin this exciting journey at the University of Guelph.

Congratulations to Arleigh as she begins an exciting new chapter!

This fall, Arleigh has chosen to take a gap year while playing Junior Hockey with the OWHA North York Storm and exploring a future in Health Sciences.

Her career assessments highlighted a thoughtful combination of strengths. She is compassionate, organized, curious, and enjoys science, problem-solving, and helping others. Her results pointed toward careers in health care, psychology, education, and the sciences, making Health Sciences a great area to explore.

One thing I love about Arleigh's journey is her decision to take a gap year. There is often pressure for students to move directly from high school to post-secondary, but that's not the right path for everyone. A gap year, when used intentionally, can provide valuable life experience, personal growth, and greater clarity about future goals. It allows students to develop independence, build confidence, continue pursuing their passions, and make more informed decisions about their education and career.

For Arleigh, competing at a high level of hockey while taking time to further explore her future is an investment in herself. The discipline, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and time management she continues to develop through sport are all qualities that employers and post-secondary institutions value.

Wishing Arleigh an incredible season with the North York Storm! I can't wait to see where this exciting year takes you.
