😀💕Beginners Tatting😀💕

TATTING COURSE (4 weeks).

Have you always wanted to learn this amazing beautiful craft, now is the time with our beginner’s Tatting course.

We will learn all the basics of shuttle tatting from creating a simple ring, adding picots (tiny loops), creating chains and joining on. You will create your first project - a beautiful bookmark, and be able to go on to follow patterns and even create your own.

Tatting can also be used to create lace edging for clothes and soft furnishings, making decorations and jewellery.

Weekly Guide (rough schedule):
1. Loading the bobbing, mastering the flip, creating rings.
2. Picots and starting our pattern to make the bookmark
2. Joining in second thread (ball) to create chains, joining to picots.
3. Perfecting + troubleshooting, dealing with ends.

We have In-person, classes in Kentville in our purpose designed studio with close up camera screens - limited number of places.
We also have a virtual (Zoom) option which is fully interactive giving views of close up demonstrations and the whole class, with a limited number of places which gives you the opportunity to ask for specific help and questions along the way.

Both In-person and virtual will have access to recordings of the classes which are available to watch for a number of weeks after the class.

Tuesdays, October 7th - October 28th , 10am- 12noon (10:15am - 11:30am for virtual attendance).
Mondays, October 7th - October 28th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm (6:45pm - 8pm for virtual attendance)

Cost:
In Person: $30 per session or $100 for the whole course ($25 × 4 sessions)
Virtual: $20 per session or $60 for the whole course ($15 × 4 sessions)
Supply kit $35, or I can provide a supply list.

🧶💕😀BEGINNER’S CROCHET COURSE 🧶💕😀

Learn to crochet with this 5 week beginners course. Learn all the basic stitches and crochet completed projects to keep. Lots of colour options for Fall/Winter or next Spring with the optional supply kit to make all your projects.

Weekly Guide (rough schedule):
1. Chain stitch and single crochet starting our first project (phone cover).
2. Half double stitch, double + treble while working on our neck warmer.
3. Flowers.
4. Granny squares.
5. Finishing off, admiring and celebrating our new skills and completed projects.
Plus: Bonus hat-pattern to make with your new skills (yarn included in supply kit).

Sewing Skills Course - Fashion Designer!
(American Girl/18” doll).

Saturdays, October 4th to November 8th, 2025 (6 weeks)
3:30 - 5:30 pm.

This 6 week course is open to children aged 8+ and adults who have completed the beginner's sewing course or who have the necessary skills required.
(Grown ups welcome too, or sew and learn together with your child).
We’ll start with producing a design for an outfit, choosing styles and fabric, then go onto using the patterns, cutting out the pieces and machine and hand sewing together to bring our creations to life.
Not only will your children learn specific sewing skills but also develop their creativity, concentration and focus, fine motor skills and confidence for all areas of their lives.
Cost:
$240 for the whole course (or $45 weekly).

All fabric plus notions, doll accessories and use of sewing machine are included in the course price. Refreshments and treats are also included.

😀💕🧶BEGINNER’S KNITTING COURSE 🧶💕😀

I’m getting my Fall schedule together and first up is beginners knitting.

Learn all the basics and much more for two needle knitting. This 10 week course takes you from absolute beginner to intermediate level knitter. I also have 5 new kit colour options to choose from to complete your cushion project.

Even if you have never picked up a pair of needles (or maybe you picked some up and put them down again) I can teach you to make a beautiful cushion just like the below or similar, or even your own unique version.

Join me on our 10 week comprehensive knitting course to knit a Fall, Holidays, Spring or Summer (beachy theme) version. Or maybe you have your own idea in mind to match your decor. Not only will you have a beautiful cushion to show off to your family and friends (and cat!), you will have the skills and practice needed to tackle most 2 needle knitting patterns.

We will cover knit stitch, casting off, casting on, purl, garter stitch, stocking stitch, rib stitches, a lacy stitch, cabling, increasing, decreasing, button holes and sewing up.
