🍂 Fall Feast | Binaakwii-giizis (Leaves Falling Moon)
Join us for our Fall Feast in Kenora on Friday, October 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. John Paul II School.

Our Fall Feast is an opportunity to gather in community, give thanks, bless our bears and blankets, and feast the changing of the seasons. The gathering will include a blessing by Elder Jeanette Skead, drumming by the Wauzhusk Onigum Ogichidaa Drummers, and wild rice hamburger soup and baked bannock.

Students and staff are welcome to wear their regalia, and all KCDSB schools are invited to participate.

We look forward to gathering together! 🍂

🧠 Today is Rowan’s Law Day, named in memory of Rowan Stringer and dedicated to raising awareness about concussion safety.

Knowing the signs and symptoms of a concussion, and what to do when one is suspected, is an important part of keeping students safe.

At KCDSB, staff complete concussion safety and awareness training each September as part of our commitment to student safety.

Students, families, coaches and staff all have a role to play in concussion safety.
