One of our own Douvris families is going through an incredibly difficult time. Sensei Vee’s brother, Hinton, was involved in a serious ski accident and suffered three breaks in his back. Since the accident, Hinton has not had any movement or feeling below his waist.

His recovery journey will be substantial and life-changing. There will be significant medical expenses, travel costs, home modifications, and time away from work so that Amy and Telly can remain by Hinton’s side during his recovery.

As a community, we always stand together — and now is one of those moments.

Our team was in Gatineau for the Buc Nord karate tournament. Some good competition, good fights, and even a little bit of sword fighting.
