This online event is a great opportunity to learn, connect with other families, and hear about topics that support student success and Catholic education.

Today is National Custodial Workers’ Recognition Day.

We are proud to recognize Brian Lafrance, Custodian Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School - Cornwall for his hard work, professionalism, and 25 years of dedicated service to CDSBEO and the school communities he has served.

This past summer, Brian played an important role in preparing St. Anne Catholic School for September while supporting several significant construction projects.

September 21 to 25 marks Week, a time to remember the Indigenous children who were sent to Residential Schools and never returned home, and to honour Residential School Survivors, their families, their communities, and all those affected by the Residential School System.

By teaching students about the legacy and true history of Residential Schools, we help build empathy, awareness, and understanding of the profound injustices suffered by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, as well as the commitment we all share toward reconciliation. As the late Justice Murray Sinclair reminded us, “Education got us into this mess and education will get us out of it.”

This September marks the 46th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run, a Canadian tradition that continues to bring people together in support of cancer research. Across CDSBEO, students are taking part in Terry Fox School Runs and fundraising activities throughout September and beyond.
