Goggles, lab coats, and petri dishes, oh my!

Check out the hands-on chemistry experiment we ran with our Actua partners last week during our All Girls* camp. There's a lot simmering underneath the surface... blink and you'll miss it!

Know a future chemist-in-the-making? Head to the link in our bio to register for summer camps!

* Geering Up welcomes all cis and trans girls, genderqueer, and non-binary people in our All Girls camps.

That's a wrap!

We're able to make a lasting, positive impact on so many youths across B.C. year after year because of the generosity of every single person and organization that donates to Geering Up. We're grateful to the people who believe in the power of inspiring young students and lowering the barriers for them to explore STEM.

This year, thanks to you, we were able to raise over $55,000 on UBC Giving Day.

While 2026's is over, you can still continue the momentum by visiting bit.ly/givetogu2026 to give.

To discuss a larger corporate contribution, a donation as a gift in someone else's name, or adding future youth STEM education into an estate plan, DM us with your details.

Breaking barriers. Instilling passion in STEM. Investing in youth.

From Geering Up’s beginnings in 1995 as Mechanical Engineering student Christine Yeung’s capstone project, those are the values that have driven every single decision we’ve made and how we’ve grown as an organization.

That is why we’re pleased to announce that our national network partner, Actua, has presented UBC Geering Up Engineering Outreach with the Award for Excellence for our work in 2022.
