Childminding in Lady Bay

Our Caterpillars arrived this morning. We intercepted them from the Post man who was fascinated to hear all about them.
The children are very excited and been keen to read all our caterpillar related stories today. 🐛 🐛🐛

We have two tiny little frogs, they have grown super quick this year due to there only being 3 of them. ( one didn’t make the metamorphosis stage at the weekend) The children have been interested throughout the whole process this year. Definitely a win only having three and keeping them in the playroom. Usually it’s just before the summer holidays when they change! So super early 🐸🐸🐸

All about the process not the product, a lovely morning exploring paint and potion making….

Today we visited the wildflower trail at the hook. The children sat in the shade and painted some flowers. Well worth a visit 😊 🌻🌼🌸🌺 Beautiful paintings.

Butterfly painting to add to our playroom Art Gallery…

We have been learning all about the life cycle of a Butterfly. We do this activity every year and seeing the older children remember what happens each year is lovely.

This week I have concentrated on settling everyone back into our routines.
We have enjoyed lots of garden time, learning about flowers, birds and even Ants. We have played with green minty play dough, free play, stories, singing with instruments and we even managed a picnic after school. 🙂 ☀️

Last week we enjoyed the lovely weather and spent lots of time outside. We also made Valentines cards for our families.
We are now closed for Half Term and a much needed rest for all. 🙂

Hama beads are a huge favourite here at Lady Bay Childminding. Just ordered two more boxes! 🙂
