Adventure Junction Early Learning Centre

We have 12 infant/toddler (0-3) and 3 multi-age (0-5) programs with 24 spaces. We believe that:

Children are unique individuals with special gifts, talents and abilities. We strive to provide an environment that fosters positive social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional development, through providing a variety of experiences that incorporate all learning styles and personalities. Families are entitled to be involved in a meaningful way in their child’s experiences. We view our relationship with our parents/guardians as a partnership one that enables us to provide high quality care for their children while they are involved in work commitments, educational and/or personal fulfillment or while childcare is part of a care plan for the family. By respecting family values and sharing information, we will work together for the benefit of the child. Educators are entitled to a work environment which recognizes and respects their training, skills and commitment to childcare and which demonstrates this through respectful communication and personnel policies. The educators are committed to valuing children and showing love to all people irrespective of their background, culture or creed. The Centre enhances the lives of children, their families and the community by providing a caring, supportive and vital community service. We will:

• Provide quality care for each child in a nurturing and caring environment.
• Model and encourage appropriate guiding and caring for each child and family.
• Provide opportunities to increase the family’s knowledge of children’s health and development.
• Provide developmentally appropriate activities that will challenge them and prepare them for school, society and the world around them.
• Support families through life’s transitions.
• Act as a liaison between and work with community agencies, individuals and organizations that are essential to the well-being of each child and family.
• Increase the awareness and utilization of community resources as needed
