Ascentia Career Institute will be closed on September 30 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

To take Truth to Action, Ascentia Career Institute has integrated learning related to truth and reconciliation throughout our certificate programs.

Beginning with our Diversity and Inclusion in Professional Practice course—developed by a valued instructor who is a member of a First Nation—our aspiring Dental Assistants and Early Childhood Educators explore the essential role of diversity and inclusion in professional settings.

Through self-directed readings, case studies, and reflective activities, students examine cultural competence, equity, social justice, and the responsibility professionals have to create respectful and inclusive environments.

Across our other programs, we also take care to ensure graduates enter their chosen fields with the awareness, knowledge, and practical tools to take Truth to Action in their industries and communities.
