Feeling better today :)
Funny how basic things like showering, clean clothes, a little make up and hair done helps you feel human again. Staples come out at 1145... not looking forward to that, but I will feel even better once they are out!

Happy 32nd year anniversary... we aren't celebrating how we had wanted but at least we are home together...

So incredibly grateful for Nurse Trish in the post surgery unit at KGH these last 3 days. Trish talked me through incredible fear, and sadness and I am so grateful. The time and energy these women spend with us is so powerful, often without credit or acknowledgement. Doctors pop in for 5 mins, while Trish was there holding my hand while I cried, exhausted and not able to communicate what I was feeling, telling me I was ok and my feelings were valid but what was happening was normal and tried to explain it so I could understand what was happening. I am grateful.

Dr Kylo is on duty now. Finally forgiven me being away from home

Yesterday was a tough day... physically mentally, emotionally
Today is already a better day...
I struggle with pharmaceutical drugs a lot of the time so pain management can be tough. Most drugs dont metabolise properly for me so must dont work... BUT I just realized it is God's way of keeping me from doing something stupid and rushing my recovery. If I hurt I will slow down and make good ( or at least better) choices...

Sleep.... or lack there of.... today's the day....

I have been covered and surrounded in prayer and love today. Thank you Joanna for such a thoughtful, heartfelt gift

It has been almost a year since I started this journey... i am looking forward to the results in the coming weeks...
