We are pleased to announce the formal establishment of the https://www.linkedin.com/company/ubcfom/ Vancouver Alumni Chapter, which took place last week in a truly remarkable event.
This gathering brought together alumni, partners, and supporters of the Faculty, all dedicated to fostering excellence in business leadership. A particularly significant aspect of the evening was our collaboration with the Management Student Association’s Vancouver Business Trip, which provided a valuable platform for alumni and current students to engage, exchange knowledge, and cultivate professional relationships.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all who attended this pivotal occasion.

In Why Horizontal Organizations Don’t Fall Flat: Organizational Structure Shapes Perceptions of Egalitarianism and Company Warmth, Dr. Dahl discusses why some organizational structures are easier for people to relate to, and how that relatability is closely tied to whether the organization is arranged in a tall hierarchy, or a more spread out and flat way- And how that view is tied to consumers political ideologies.
