Writing begins long before a child picks up a pencil to form letters.

It starts with building the skills behind the skill.

Before age three, children build the foundations for future writing through activities that strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and early pre-writing movements such as lines, circles, and patterns.

In this post, we're sharing five simple activities that help support these important developmental milestones. Through guided exploration and hands-on learning, children develop the strength, control, and confidence that prepare them for handwriting in the years ahead.
