Before the summerland fire started, we decorated a wedding at Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards . It was so smokey you can barely see the lake and mountains that usually make up a breathtaking view right in front of us. We hung edison lights from the 15' tall structure and even though it doesn’t look like much with all the smoke, it did look really great all lit up.

One of the easiest ways to make your reception feel more polished?

Repeat your design elements throughout the room.

If you're using gold cutlery at the tables, carry that same gold into your candle holders, signage, chargers, or other décor. The same goes for wood, greenery, or a signature colour.

When the details work together, the entire space feels intentional and beautifully designed.

This week we traveled to for a family wedding. Cherry Blossom garden was the theme and our greenery chandelier, faux florals, pedestals and lantern helped pull it all together.

Together, they create a table setting that feels welcoming without being overdone.

One of my favourite things about this combination is how effortlessly it works in almost any venue—from rustic barns to elegant wineries and everything in between.

15 Years Later...

Today marks 15 years since Joe and I said "I do."

Looking back, it's funny how the little things we stressed about while planning our wedding aren't what we remember most.

What we remember are the people who celebrated with us, the laughter, the moments we shared, and the beginning of our life together.

Working in the wedding industry for over 16 years has given me the opportunity to witness so many couples begin this same journey, and it's something I'll never take for granted.
