ISMC Kelowna

ISMC stands for "International Students Ministry Canada". We are a Christian organization that runs various activities for International Students here in Kelowna. Our activities range from conversation groups to evenings of good food and games. We also like to connect the students with a volunteer as "friendship partners", it's a great opportunity to get to know each other more intimately. Our goal as volunteers and as an organization is to share the love of Jesus Christ, to help student's improve in their English skills and to make deep and lasting friendships. Mission statement: " Empowering international students to impact the world through Jesus Christ". We are grateful for the privilege to live in Canada and want to share and familiarize students about community life and our many Canadian traditions, holidays and events. We run a conversation group called U-Talk on late Thursday afternoons all year round. From September to April, after U-Talk, we have a potluck dinner together, followed by an option to stay longer and study from the Bible. On the first Friday night of each month, we usually gather at someone's home for a potluck dinner, conversation games. We also try and plan evening or weekend outings and adventures. Feel free to use this page to connect with other members, and to post open gatherings so that we can get to know each other better. Feel free to also post photos from our many events.
