Summer might be flying by, but we’re making every sunny moment count! ☀️
As we dive into August, we’re continuing to ride the wave of summer fun with an exciting Ocean & Beach theme! 🌊🐚

From sandy sensory bins to sea creature crafts and ocean-themed story time, our days are filled with sunshine, imagination, and hands-on learning. Whether we’re “swimming” through dramatic play or exploring beach treasures, the children are loving every minute of it

We got a bit preoccupied with all the fun we've been having at the park and with water play, and our poor herb garden has been feeling the neglect. The plants had gone to seed, so we figured it was time to get our hands dirty and give them a little love. We pruned off all the seeds to promote new growth and tossed the trimmings into our mud kitchen, and wow does it smell good!!!

Friendship Friday was a success! The blue class extended an invitation to the orange class to venture off to the park for a fun-filled morning of climbing, swinging, and teetering! To cool off, we enjoyed crafting friendship bracelets in the shade of the willow trees 🌳 A morning full of fresh air, smiles, and laughter was a perfect end to the week!

Here they are! Our 2025 Preschool graduates! We are extremely proud of these intelligent, creative, kind, and compassionate preschoolers. Their future is bright, and the sky is the limit for them 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

Magic Beans! This week we explored the classic fairytale, Jack and the Beanstalk, and then children planted their very own magic beans. A great opportunity to connect literacy to a fun hands-on gardening activity. Stay tuned for the magic beanstalks 🌱

Goodbye snow, hello sunshine! The Orange class at Echo Belgo eagerly greeted the warm weather and immediately began exploring the sand and rolling in the grass. This hands-on adventure continued in the classroom, demonstrating that learning extends beyond traditional pencil-to-paper methods. Our goal is to discover new ways to make learning a fun and engaging experience! 😀🪣☀️ 🌱

It's been cold, but we're still keeping busy!

Season's greetings from the Red Class at Echo Academy!
The Red class launched into the first full week of 2025 with a series of enjoyable art, science, and preschool activities. As part of this month's Ice and Snow theme, the students participated in polar bear painting and an ice melting experiment. The use of coloured ice and water to induce melting captivated the children, who also revelled in the opportunity to work with puffy paint.

In preschool, the focus was on the letter O, with an octopus decorating activity serving as a valuable tool for linking the letter to sounds and words, and for honing fine motor skills.
