🌟Hope Lights the Darkest Night🌟

Empowerment. How does it happen?

Through competence, confidence, and connection.

With reaching 75% of our fundraising goal, our children’s minds and bodies will continue to be in a “ready-state” for learning, thanks to Canada’s 🇨🇦 generosity to ensure our families receive meal kits this week, and funds are available to continue to provide a daily meal to our staff and students in the upcoming year. 🍲

Feeding children’s bodies nutritious and regular meals, and nourishing their minds through knowledge leads to competence and confidence and connection: an empowered, open mind that seeks positive change.

This is the impact the last 25% of our fundraising goal can achieve in hundreds of children in our care in Haiti - fostering hearts, minds, and spirits that can lead Haiti to a brighter and more peaceful future. 🕊️

Be the Reason A Child in Haiti Says “I Get It!”‼️

Sometimes, the most powerful light is education. A nourished mind is an educated mind.

Your support helps open minds and create “lightbulb” moments for our students. 💡

Continued donations mean we can keep giving our students “lightbulb” moments, no matter the location.

Providing children the chance to learn and grow in an enriched, supportive environment is the heart of our mission. ❤

Your contribution will help us be ready to nurture the “lightbulb” moments that lead our students to a healthy, safe future.

A Child’s Aha Moment Is Waiting! 💡

We began with a vision to provide accessible education to children and families in Haiti. This is the “guiding light” of our work.

In spite of recent events, our “reason for being” – educating children – continues. 📚

In the coming months, the logistics are likely to be challenging, perhaps located where our families now reside, and involve additional costs that we would typically not have.

Yet, a nourished mind is an educated mind.

Continued donations, mean we can keep giving our students “lightbulb moments”, no matter the location.

Create a “lightbulb moment” for a child in Haiti today! 💡❣

When The Night Is Darkest YOU Can ✨Shine the Brightest✨!

Ten days into the month of December, and we have surpassed the halfway mark to our goal!

THANK YOU, Canada! 🙏🇨🇦

You Can Give Safety and Comfort

When you’ve had a scare, or received traumatic news, or encountered a troubling situation, what brought you comfort and helped you feel safe?

A cup of tea. A warm meal. Likely offered by someone who really saw you and offered support.

We are hardwired to comfort with food, and it makes sense. A full belly brings a feeling of security – especially for a child.

Your gift can nourish comfort and security:
- Providing meals gives a sense of safety
- Supporting displaced children brings comfort
- Offering stability – even the stability of a daily meal – helps begin the healing process

The road to healing starts with feeling safe.

Give Safety and Comfort today.

Ever Been Afraid of The Dark?

Night-time can often bring feelings of insecurity and apprehension, especially for children at bedtime. Do you remember what you did as a child – maybe you ran from your bedroom door and made a flying leap onto your bed to “avoid” the monsters that lurked there?

In Haiti, right now our children are living in the darkest time their young lives have experienced, every day. They are not in their homes nor community. School – often a place of comfort, routine, and love – is closed. Their friends are sheltered in place with their families, too.

Your gift can start the healing process for our children right now, exactly where they are. Your gift can cultivate safety and security, bringing healing and comfort.

Until December 31st, your gift is DOUBLED!

77,000 - that’s how many daily lunches our school serves in a single school year.

Without sufficient food, we simply remain in survival mode. Our entire being - every thought, action, and motivation - is consumed with how to get food.

Providing lunch at school means our students’ minds relax; they learn; their choices and behaviours in class are positive and productive. They make good choices.

Let a child in Haiti know that their school lunch is waiting for them when they return to school!

Make a gift today; all donations are matched dollar for dollar, so your gift goes TWICE as far.

1,200 - that’s the conservative number of people who benefit at our food distributions.

300 meal kits are distributed to family sizes ranging from 4 to 6 or even 8 people. 👪

Our families are displaced. They’ve gone to the single largest community in the area that is not yet fully controlled by gangs.

So has “everyone else”. Resources are becoming more scarce; families are not able to access basic food essentials. Other humanitarian organizations are unable to get through to where this is happening.

We are already in place, right in the heart of the need.

We can help. And so can you.

Right now, you can light up the darkest night for families in Haiti.

Make a gift today; all donations are matched dollar for dollar, so your gift goes TWICE as far.
