Okanagan College International Education

On Friday, May 1st, Okanagan College warmly welcomed a new group of international students during the Spring 2026 International Orientation. The cohort included 33 students from Japan enrolled in the English Language program, along with one student from the Philippines beginning studies in the Nursing Program. Welcome to OC! We wish you the best summer in the Okanagan!

Our last students for this month come to break barriers that constantly get overlooked by dominant cultures. Through love, advocating for stronger cultural and social initiatives in their community and beyond. Black history needs to be present every day, not just one month a year.

Jane-Frances is one of our top students, student rep for .africa and building step-by-step sustainable pathways writing her own story.

Building diaspora bridges to regain freedom...Deneisha is currently a student leader and her favourite quote and how she'd like to contribute to the world leave it clear.

Aisha belongs to the OC black community and she truly believes that by empowering herself, others can mirror and empower themselves.

This nursing student is an example of hard work, care who wishes to support the community through inclusion, safety, and empowering black immigrants.

Shondel is one of our International stars! Guiding others through peer support, Shondel wants to lead by example and to remember to follow our dreams!
