I first came across this quote in high school and it defined the way that I lived the rest of my life. Backpacking across Europe while everyone got a “career job” after Uni, pursued my MBA in NZ while everyone else was settling down and starting a family. It takes courage to orchestrate your life into what you want it to be.

🟡 Stop worrying about what others think.
🟡 Stop comparing yourself to others and where they are in life compare to you.
🟡 Stop feeling anxious that your path in life looks so different than “the norm”.

Be great 🌟Be strong 🌟 Turn your back on the crowd and do amazing things 🌟

We took a family trip to Costa Rica in March (best vacation ever!!) and I came across this sign in one of the cafes we stopped at.

✨Call me old fashioned, but I LOVED these rules for the ladies and gentlemen! ✨

Do you feel the same as me? Any rules that you especially like (or dislike)?

Friends, to those who may not be aware, my hometown of Kelowna has been ravaged by a wildfire that tore through overnight Thursday night and has displaced thousands of people as so many had to be evacuated from their homes. 🔥🔥🔥

It has left us feeling sad, some of us are scared and many are feeling despair and immense loss.

I would like to give back to my community as best as I can, and I will be offering free 1hr calls with anyone in the Okanagan area who is need of someone to talk to, a feeling of connection and some cheer and positivity infused in your current day.

These 1hr free calls (or in person) will be available until the end of August.

💛💛 Please send me a DM and let me know if this is something I can help you with 💛💛

Those of you who follow my Stories saw that I recently attended my oldest daughter’s show jumping competition.

The weather was blistering hot, each morning we had to be up and driving at 5am and our days were long, dusty and exhausting….all for 1.5 minutes of thrilling jumps over fences.

What made these 5 days even harder and longer for me? I am NOT a horse person. I appreciate them and I am an animal-lover in general, but there is a definite difference between horse people and non-horse people 🐴😂

Here are my 3 main takeaways that I wanted to share with you if you, like me, find yourself in a world surrounded by people that you don’t have much in common with.

🟡 It’s OK if you don’t want to talk.
I am usually the main talker in a group setting and I have no problems leading or steering a conversation. However, because I’m not well-versed in the horse world, I realized that I don’t need to talk all the time. It’s ok to be an active listener, and try to follow along with the main conversation. Or, it’s also ok to bow out of some conversations and bring out your book and just have some solo time without any interaction. It’s totally fine!

🟡 Ask lots of questions.
I know this can be challenging for some people, and it really takes practice, but this is what I generally found myself doing over the course of the 5 days. Instead of talking to the other parents about their horse, I focussed on other topics that I COULD converse about. Such as “what do you do for a job?” or “are you originally from the Okanagan?” or “so other than horses, what else keeps your family busy?” This would springboard into other topics that I was more than happy to chat about and our conversations were very enjoyable!

🟡 Be kind to yourself.
It’s so important to not get down in the dumps if you aren’t making fluid and easy conversation all the time. It’s hard! Just stay positive, friendly and open and this will make it easier to engage with others in conversation. Don’t be so hard on yourself if you find yourself struggling to speak 💛

I’ve received a few DMs asking me to clarify exactly what type of coach I am. So, I thought this is a great time to re-introduce myself and show you the power and confidence you’ll achieve when we work together 💥💪🏼

1️⃣ I am a Social Connections coach, which means I have the unique gift and talent of talking to others, asking lots of questions, and getting others engaged in conversation.

2️⃣ I have two distinct types of clients:
👉🏼 Men and women who experience strong social anxiety and would like to improve their interpersonal skills and boost their confidence when talking to others.
👉🏼 Men and women who are feeling isolated, introverted or alone and would love to have a personal coach in their corner, providing positive energy, engaging discussions and motivation to achieve personal goals.

3️⃣ Whether we work together only twice a month, or we chat on a weekly basis, I make sure you feel top-of-mind, recognized and heard. I become so woven into your daily life that you will truly feel like I am that best friend you never had who gets past the base layers and we discuss more real and deep topics.

If any of the above resonates with you, all you need to do is send me a DM or shoot me an email and we can go from there!

I can’t wait to hear more about you and start our conversation 💛💥💪🏼

We often encounter challenges in life that require us to be strong and brave. Yet, we are only as capable as our level of confidence allows us to be.

Confidence is about believing in yourself and having faith that you can do just about anything! It’s about taking risks and knowing that no matter what happens, YOU can handle it! 💪🏼

So, my question to you is: are you ready to answer the call of confidence?? Will you be strong and courageous enough to make a change in your life?

Now is YOUR TIME! 💥💥💥
Don’t let it slip away.

Please go on my website or DM me and we can work together to help you answer this very important call 📞💛💪🏼

I get it, socializing can be super hard and can make your heart feel like it’s going to pound out of your chest.

But socializing shouldn’t be seen as a burden, but as a chance to make new friends and gain new experiences. All it takes is the courage to say hello 👋🏼

I understand the difficulty in taking that first step, however, I promise you it will be worth it. Once you start off, you’ll be able to find comfort in connecting with someone. You’ll come to realize there are many people out there who care for you and want the best for you. 💛🤗

If you’re feeling uneasy and don’t want to put yourself out there yet (yes, it can be scary!) that’s totally fine too! Take your time and find someone you can trust who won’t judge you. If you think that person can be me then please feel free to reach out and message me. I’m here to listen 👂🏼💪🏼

Shoot me a DM or check out my website. I can’t wait to talk to you!

So many conversations begin with just one smile. A smile indicates to the other person that you aren’t hostile and you are giving off vibes of warmth, cheerfulness and friendliness.

I’ve always been a smiler. In fact, it’s almost my “resting face” as I love making people feel that they can relax around me, open up, and feel positive in my sphere.

I encourage you to try smiling more! Not only will it put you in a happier state of mind, but just watch how people will instantly want to start a conversation 🗣️

So flash your pearly whites and watch the magic happen! 🤩💪🏼💛

One of my friends got me this journal for my birthday. She knows me so well. If there is one thing that I hate it is when it’s “all talk and no action”. 😠🤥

But I get it. It’s human nature…how many people are still doing New Year’s resolutions by March 1st..?

But it’s a great reminder: in order to talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. 🚶‍♀️💪🏼

As a Social Connection Coach, I get asked a lot: “why do people hire you?” Well, there are many many differing reasons why my clients gravitate to me and the energy I put forth, however I can sum up the main reasons this way:

❤️🤗My clients have had their world rocked by Covid. They are struggling to reintegrate back into the social world. They have realized how introverted and isolated they now feel and are loving and craving the social connection and conversation that I enable.

💪🏼📣You’ve got goals to achieve? I help you get them! There is a reason why people actually turn up to work out at the gym if they have someone to go with them. My clients are seeking accountability and motivation (be it a weight-loss goal, career goal, relationship goal, strengthening of faith goal) and I consistently deliver and then some. You will never feel alone with me in your back pocket.

😆🙊Some coaches can be so serious and therapist-like. Just go onto their website and you will see lots of brown/beige/grey colours. This is NOT me. Connecting with my clients is often filled with an hour of questions, laughter, positivity and sunshine. **at least that’s what my clients have said talking to me is like 😉

What are you waiting for? Send me a DM or fill out my contact form on my website and I guarantee that this will be the best investment and decision you can make for yourself. 💪🏼❤️☀️👊🏼💥
