Artists will perform favourite songs from well-known operas, as well as a music of other genres and perhaps a surprise performance or two! Congratulations to the first-ever graduates of the Bachelor of St’át’imc Language Fluency degree: Rena Patrick (N’Quatqua), Audrey Casper (Tsal’alh), Angelina Hopkins-Rose (New Westminster) and Deborah Doss-Cody (Xáxli’p)!
Their achievement marks a historic milestone in protecting and revitalizing one of BC’s most critically endangered Indigenous languages.

How Do We Manage in a World of Mis/Disinformation? A timely and thought-provoking keynote discussion exploring the growing challenges posed by false and misleading content was hosted by UBC Okanagan.
Featuring renowned experts Dr. Tanu Mitra of the University of Washington and Dr. Taylor Owen of McGill University, the event brought together technical, policy, and societal perspectives on the future of the information ecosystem. The event was moderated by Political Science Professor Wendy Wong and Computer Science Professor Pourang Irani.
