Hi everyone, it’s just about time for the Spring iNaturalist Bioblitz!
The challenge is to get outside, enjoy the beautiful spring weather, and take pictures of all the wildlife, insects, and plants you see! Then you can upload these photos on iNaturalist to our project “The Wildlife Society (TWS) Okanagan Student Chapter Bioblitz 2025” and try to make an identification (doesn’t have to be perfect!).
This year is extra special since we’re competing with student chapters across the USA and Canada! The team with the most total observations will be awarded prizes!
You can find the link to the iNaturalist project in our bio. The challenge will be running from April 6th to May 30th, so lots of time to rack up those observations for our team!

Hey Wildlifers, it’s time for the 2025/26 executive team elections!
From now until March 28th, you can nominate yourself to run for an executive position (you can run for more than 1 position). What you’ll do is fill out the google form in our bio and write a brief blurb about yourself and your fit for the position (you can fill it out multiple times if running for multiple positions).
Then, from March 29th to April 2nd we will run elections. All members will have a chance to read your blurbs and vote for who they would like to win for each position. On April 3rd, the election winners will be contacted.
This is a great way to share your creativity and passion for wildlife with a really fun team! It is also super valuable leadership experience for your resume, and can help you get experience with new skills (ex managing social media pages, finances). The time commitment for executives is 1 meeting per week + time to complete duties (ex. Making posts, forms, emails, etc) - so around 1 to 2 hours per week.
We hope you will consider running and look forward to learning more about all the candidates!
