Yesterday, my book and journal proofs arrived.

And somehow, the timing could not have been more beautiful.

My mom and I were planting my garden when the package came. My husband was there too, and the three of us sat on my front step and poured over the pages together.

There we were, surrounded by soil, flowers, roots, and new life… holding the first physical proof of something I have been quietly tending for so long.

My mom beside me.
My husband there with me.
My garden being planted.
My book and journal finally in my hands.

It felt like one of those moments you don’t plan, but somehow could not have been more perfect.

Not just because the proofs arrived.

But because they arrived into a scene of becoming.

A garden.
A front step.
My family.
My hands holding what my heart has been carrying for years.

I am still taking it in.
