This is a really simple game to play with your class, especially when you’re in the mood for a debate 😉

Announce a food item (such as ravioli) and ask what they would categorize it as - a soup, salad, or sandwich?

They have to give reasoning for their answer to make it valid. You can sit back and watch them 🤯 over each others’ answers! 😂

Keeping track of that communication can be tricky at times, which makes referring back to it even harder 🙃

Hey friends, family& followers! 🙋🏼‍♀️ I need your help!

👩🏼‍💻 This year I am moving to teaching virtually for 100% of the time. I am excited for this change, as I love my school and my diverse group of students! Plus I’ll be back to teaching English!

👩🏼‍🏫👧🏽 As I’m sure many people think, it can be difficult to establish quality relationships with students right off the bat. When our main communication is email and Zoom, we can sometimes miss out on those typical beginning-of-the-year games and parties to get to know eachother and form a bond.

So I want to try something new this year!

At the beginning of the year, many in-person teachers (or schools) gift their students pens, notebooks, bookmarks, etc. I would like to do the same! So I am asking for a little help in collecting the supplies 📚✏️

I’ve put together a Virtual Classroom Wishlist on Amazon. I’m looking to get a hold of 100-130 small notebooks, bookmarks, pens, and individually wrapped halal candy.

My goal is to put together a small package for each of my students and send it to their house by mail!

If you didn’t know, my school serves students ALL over Ontario. So the only time we ever really come in contact is at graduation! I’m hoping by sending each of my students a notebook and pen, I can connect with them in a new way and prepare them for a great year of English!
