🚨 Event Cancellation Notice 🚨

We’re sad to share that the Kawartha Woodlot Expo, originally scheduled for April 5, 2025, has been cancelled due to the severe ice storm and the State of Emergency declared by the City of Kawartha Lakes.

The safety of our attendees, vendors, students, and volunteers is our top priority. With widespread power outages, hazardous road conditions, and ongoing recovery efforts in the region, moving forward with the event is simply not possible.

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped plan and support the Expo — from sponsors and speakers to volunteers and partners. We’ll be in touch soon with next steps for registrants, vendors, and sponsors.

IMPORTANT!

Due to the severe weather forecasted for this weekend, the Kawartha Woodlot Expo has been postponed to Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement predicting significant ice accumulation, poor travel conditions, and possible power outages across our region. With everyone's safety as our top priority, we feel this is the most responsible decision.

We know many of you were looking forward to the event — and so were we! We hope you’ll still be able to join us on the new date.

👉 If you’ve already registered, your ticket will automatically carry over to April 5 — no action required.
👉 If you can no longer attend, please let us know by Thursday, April 3rd so we can release your spot. Email [email protected] directly to cancel your registration.

Want to work a forwarder? Think you can drive a harvester? Sign up for the Forestry Simulators workshop at the Kawartha Woodlot Expo and try out Fleming’s state-of-the-art forestry heavy equipment simulators!

This guided workshop with forestry program coordinator, Dr. Ben Walters, offers hands-on experience with either a forwarder or harvester simulator (must be over 13 years of age).
