A few weeks ago, we celebrated our Eagle athletes and recognized the many accomplishments achieved throughout the year.

Participating in school sports provides students with opportunities to build teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and confidence. Beyond the wins and losses, our student-athletes learned valuable life lessons, formed lasting friendships, and represented Diamond Jubilee Public School with pride both on and off the field, court, and track.

A special thank you goes out to our coaches who generously gave their time before school, after school, during lunch hours, and at tournaments throughout the year. Your commitment, encouragement, and dedication helped create opportunities for our students to grow, compete, and succeed. The positive impact you have on our athletes extends far beyond the game itself.

We are incredibly proud of all of our athletes for their dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout the year.

Congratulations on a fantastic season, and thank you to our coaches, staff, and families for their continued support. 🦅

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating Ms. Boyer and Ms. Stickley on reaching an incredible milestone, 20 years of service with District School Board Ontario North East.

For two decades, they have dedicated their time, talents, and hearts to supporting students, families, and colleagues. Their commitment to education and the positive impact they have made at Diamond Jubilee Public School is truly appreciated.

Thank you, Ms. Boyer and Ms. Stickley, for your years of service, your care for students, and the difference you make each and every day.

On Tuesday, our students had the privilege of travelling to Cochrane High School to attend a Powwow.

Throughout the day, students experienced the beauty of Indigenous culture through traditional dancing, drumming, singing, and teachings. It was a meaningful opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate the rich traditions and contributions of Indigenous Peoples.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Jackie, Ms. Grenier, Ms. Gallinger, and Ms. Bowler for supporting our students and helping make this experience possible.

Thank you to Cochrane High School and everyone involved in hosting such a welcoming and inspiring event. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate together.

The cafeteria will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, so we're giving families a little break from lunch-making duties!

Students will be able to purchase pizza at lunch for $3.00 per slice.

If your child would like a slice, please send them with $3.00 for each slice they wish to purchase.

One less lunch to pack and one more reason to smile! 🍕😁

Thank you to Donat Brousseau Pool!

Throughout the school year, our students have enjoyed swimming lessons, Swim to Survive programming, free swims, and other opportunities to learn and grow in the water. These experiences help build confidence, develop important safety skills, and create lasting memories.

We are also grateful to our staff for their ongoing commitment to our students. Staff are always ready to dive into whatever the day brings.

A huge thank you to Mr. Burns, Ms. Lalande, and Ms. Inman for accompanying our Eagles to Hearst for the Track and Field Meet!

We are incredibly proud of all of our athletes for representing DJPS with determination, sportsmanship, and Eagle pride throughout the day. Their hard work and dedication were on full display, and they should be very proud of their accomplishments.

A huge thank you to our Leadership Club and Ms. Danielle for organizing another incredible Spring Fling!

There is something special about bringing our entire school together to celebrate, laugh, dance, and simply enjoy being kids. Students came dressed in their favourite outfits and were treated to popcorn, drinks, and an afternoon full of fun.

A special shoutout goes to DJ Spin Master Parent, who kept the dance floor packed with an awesome mix of music and great energy!

As we head into the final weeks of the school year, opportunities like these remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and connected school community.
