Hi. Interested in line dancing in the Kanata area? We offer classes at two venues.
Beginner Line Dance at St. Isidore parish hall, 1135 March Road Kanata. Wednesday 1:30 to 2:30. Cost $5.00 on a drop-in basis. Absolutely no prior experience needed. The parish hall entrance is behind the church around the back.
Beginner/Improver and Experienced at Kanata Beaverbrook Community Centre (KBCC) at 2 Beaverbrook Road Monday from 1:00 to 2:15 (experienced) and 2:30 to 3:30 (beg/imp). Cost $3.00 / class on a drop-in basis. Both Monday classes $5.00. But see note above about classes being full.
The first time you come please arrive a little early to complete some minor paperwork.
For the Monday classes you can check out our blog to see the dances we're doing: kbccdance.blogspot.com.
Detailed instructions for finding the classes at KBCC: the centre is at the end of the mall farthest from Teron Road. There's a parking area between the mall and some tennis courts. If you stand with your back to the tennis courts, you'll see two doors - the one on the right goes into the mall, the one on the left goes into the Community Centre. You can't get to the community centre part of the building from inside the mall itself so use the left door - just pull on the handle to enter and come upstairs.
Kanata Line Dance
Kanata Line Dance is an improving beginner and intermediate group.
As of April 2026 we are no longer accepting new people to the Monday classes - the room has become too crowded. When the numbers start to decline as they usually do when the weather improves we will be pleased to welcome new dancers to our classes. Stay tuned!
There is a funeral at St. Isidore's on the 7th. Unfortunately that means dancing will recommence on Jan 14th.
For those of you who attend the beginners' classes at St. Isidore's, please check out this blog:
https://ksclevel1-2.blogspot.com/
If you have any questions, please contact Isabella directly.
REVISED: We'll be dancing in person through December with the exception of December 29th. Zoom classes finish on December 19th. Classes at St. Isidore's are finished until January. Everything will restart the week of January 5th.
St. Isidore's beginner line dancing will start again Sept 10 at 1:30 to 2:30. Same format as at KBCC, drop in for $5.

Some of our dancers have scent allergies. We ask that you do not wear any perfume or other scent when you dance with us in person. Zoom classes are exempt of course :)
Please check our website kbccdance.blogspot.com for a list of dances we do and other relevant information.
Still the least expensive game in town, but I regret to advise that the price has gone up to $3 per session or $5 for two. Still no contracts or commitments - just show up! Please send me your email address if you're interested.
To avoid disappointment later, please be aware that ALL our classes (in person and on Zoom) are during the day. So if you work, we're not for you. If you can make it during the day, this is the place to be.
KBCC starting July 11: we're going to give up the Monday Zoom class (those of you on the Zoom email list will get an email about that). For the in person classes, we'll go back to the original timing, with the harder class starting at 1:00 and going to 2:15. The easier class is the same, starting at 2:30 and going to 3:30.
