I’m not the best at keeping social media updated, especially since I have a parent app for sharing.
Our first snowfall this winter the children worked very hard together to build this amazing snowman. They were all so proud!

One of the Childrens favourite snow day activities is painting the snow. Super simple activity, add some food colouring to water and put into spray bottles or sq**rt bottles and colour away!

I’ve been a little behind in posting, I don’t always tend to take a lot of photos because I’m so busy being with the children.

There are some great ideas if your child is having a hard time saying goodbye.
It's can be hard to say goodbye at any age because we are creatures of attachment who care deeply about others. The key is to make sure our kids feel we are holding onto them when we are apart so that the separation between us decreases.
One of the ways we can do this is through bridging - an attachment ritual. When we bridge we are trying to close the separation gap that comes between us by offering connection. This infographic offers 20 ways to bridge but there are many more! We can give them something to hold onto that symbolizes our togetherness like a picture or kiss in their hand, or a reminder of what we will be doing in the evening together. The goal is to take the lead through the separation by focussing on what stays the same and all the ways we are connected even when we are apart.
if separation is the challenge, then connection is the cure.

All the children have been enjoying their Christmas gift. I have seen so much more than gross motor development being harnessed through the colder weather.
There has been plenty of “floor is lava” being played, risk taking, balance and coordination, story telling and role playing (three billy goats gruff, elevator rescues, mountain explorers and so much more).

We have been discussing how plants grow and what they need to thrive.
Everyone helped plant some veggie plants today, here’s to hoping I am able to grow some vegetables!

Everyone had a great time with their fizzy pots, getting so excited every time they would bubble!
They each got 3 pots, 1 filled with baking soda, 1 vinegar a 1 with a couple drops of green food colouring. Then they experimented with adding different amounts of each of the ingredients together.
Working on their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination as they pinched the pipette, scooped the baking soda and placed them in the other pot.
