During the academic year, the Scratch Cafe @ Culinary Arts is generally open from Tuesday thru Friday The Culinary Arts Certificate program combines classroom theory with hands-on training as you rotate through two-week blocks in a commercial-grade kitchen. In addition to our programs, our students run a number of retail and service businesses on campus, including the Scratch Café, Accolades Dining Room and the retail meat store.

**Who's ready for Thanksgiving lunch? 🦃**

Tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 9), our Culinary Arts students are putting together a Thanksgiving buffet at Scratch Café!

We've got smoked turkey, glazed ham, BBQ pork ribs and all the Thanksgiving favourites. And yes, there's dessert too!

🍽️ All-you-can-eat buffet: $23.50 per person
🕦 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

We're open to the public, so bring a friend, enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch and help support our students.

Our freezers are full of goodies just in time for Thanksgiving! 🦃🍪

We've got lots of baking, take-home treats and even some meat products prepared by our meat-cutting students available for purchase at Scratch Café.

And a little reminder that we're open to the public!

We're open today from 8 a.m.–1 p.m., so come grab lunch, pick up a few Thanksgiving items, and support our Culinary Arts students while you're here.

Our students are busy in the kitchen getting ready for another day at Scratch Café!

On today's menu, we've got beef stroganoff with egg noodles, crispy cod cakes with remoulade sauce, lemongrass chicken with pickled vegetables, and a beef cheddar burger with caramelized onions and fries.

For soup, there's beef and cabbage or roasted carrot and brie.

Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

We're also open from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. for breakfast and fresh baking, so feel free to stop by earlier and see what's available to take home. 🍪

Thanksgiving lunch at Scratch Café! 🦃

This Friday, Oct. 9, our students are putting together an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving buffet from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

🦃 Smoked turkey with gravy and cranberry sauce
🐖 Glazed ham with raisin c***r sauce
🐷 BBQ pork ribs
🍽️ Vegetarian dressing
🥕Roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts
🍰 Dessert

$23.50 per person

Our students are serving BBQ grilled salmon with pineapple salsa, chicken pot pie, osso bucco, and a hot dog with Ballpark mustard and caramelised onions. We’ve also got roasted red pepper and Mongolian pea soup today.

Lunch runs from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

And remember, Scratch Café is open from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. for breakfast and fresh baking too.

Tuesday lunch at Scratch Café!

Our students have a pretty good menu going today. There’s pan-seared ling cod, jerk chicken with pineapple salsa, beef pot roast, or a turkey chorizo burger with fresh guacamole and fries.

We’re open 8 a.m.–1 p.m., so you can stop in for breakfast, grab some fresh baking to take home, or come see us for lunch from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

For lunch today, we’ve got beef and broccoli, shrimp chop suey, sweet & sour chicken and pork char sui. The buffet is $19.95 and is served from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

You can also stop by earlier for our breakfast buffet from 8–9:30 a.m., and we’ll have fresh student-made baking available to purchase throughout the morning.

Scratch Café is open 8 a.m.–1 p.m. today.
