Aberdeen Judo

What a week of success for Aberdeen Judo! Tuesday saw a large group of candidates step forward and demonstrate their ability during formal gradings. Everyone looked great so Thursday we were able to present them with their new belts and certificates.

Not to be outdone, Shannon did her grading on Thursday and also passed with flying colours!

We look forward to seeing everyone showing off their new belts as we wind down for the remainder of the season.

Silver medal for Joe Marchand yesterday at the Canadian Nationals in the +100kg Veterans division.

That's a wrap for the 2025-2026 junior program and what a season it was! Congratulations to everyone on your promotions! The hard work you've put in all year was evident in your grading performances. Get some rest and we'll see you all in September for more judo fun!

It was two golds and two bronzes for Aberdeen Judo yesterday at the PG Open! Congratulations to everyone and thank you to the Prince George Judo Club for a very smoothly run and fun event.

Great day and great judo this weekend at the 14th annual Okanagan Open! Thanks to the Lake Country and Kelowna Judo clubs for another fun event.

BC Provincial Championships. Aberdeen Judo was well represented by Joe, Stacey and Emmett. Accompanied by Mr. Huntley and John Cleland on coaching duties.

What a week at the ol' dojo! Tuesday's grading night saw 8 junior and 10 senior students show off what they've learned before our Aberdeen Judo grading board! Thursday was promotion night. New belts, stripes and certificates were handed out to mark everyone's achievements.
It's been an incredible first half of the season. Rest up, enjoy the holidays and we'll see everyone back on the mats in January!

Great turnout today to celebrate World Judo Day!

The venue was cool but the judo was red hot when Aberdeen Judo stepped on the mats today at the Peak International! Great job everyone. You represented the club well.

Everyone had an absolute blast today at the 3rd annual Ice Breaker! The junior program was well represented with everyone giving it their all, fighting hard and applying the skills they've been learning at practice. It was also great to see Emmett, Thomas, Gemma and Luceiia be recognized with sportsmanship awards. Way to go! A special thank you goes out to all of the volunteers and parents who made this event happen. Thank you!
