New NUS Executive Member: Hey! My name is Shadi, I'm happy to be the first-year representative of NUS. Like the meaning of my name "Happiness", I would like to be involved in bringing happiness and joy to your student life. I like reading, drawing, and planning to bring events for other nursing students. You can always find me on the fourth floor of HOL, or by the Timmie's.

New NUS Executive Member: Hi, my name is Michaela. When I'm not studying I like to read, cook, travel and spend time in nature. I am so excited to be part of the NUS team this year!

New NUS Executive Member: Hi everyone! My name is Jacqueline (or Jacky)! I am excited to be a part of the NUS to bring more fun events to the stressful lives of us nursing students, and I look forward to meeting more likeminded people through the NUS. Outside of school, I like to hangout with my friends and family, go camping and hiking, watch reality TV, and stay active by running and going to the gym. I look forward to what this year will bring!

New NUS Executive Member: Hi, my name is Lukhvir and I am the Williams Lake representative! In my free time, I like to work out. I used to compete and coach wrestling in the lower mainland. I'm excited get the students from the Williams Lake campus more involved and to help with the transition into 3rd year at Kamloops.

New NUS Executive Member: Hi! My name is Jessica and i’m so excited to be on the EDII council and aide in developing this position to provide opportunities for our diverse student body! If it’s not in the SON, you’ll most likely find me planning events for the African-Caribbean student body at TRU, creating a safe space to find their voices and express themselves! 🫶🏾✌🏾

New NUS Executive Member: Hi, my name is Allissa! I am the new Administrative Coordinator of the NUS. I’m really looking forward to being involved in organizing the events that make TRU Nursing great! When I’m not at school or studying, I like to go hiking, play softball and pickleball, and I'm always on the hunt for a good cookie recipe!

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we stand with the Indigenous peoples of Canada. On this day we honour the resilience and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors, and we take time to remember the children who never came home. We are grateful to study and practice on the traditional land of the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc (Kamloops campus) and the T’exelc (Williams Lake campus) within Secwépemc'ulucw, the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwépemc.
