Meet Master Jason Hockersmith (Master JEH), teacher and founder of Master JEH’s Taekwondo! His journey into Taekwondo started as a response to bullying, seeking self-defense and empowerment. Despite objections, his unwavering determination led him to the martial art that transformed his life. 🥋💫

Starting Taekwondo just before his 14th birthday, Master JEH found solace and strength in the discipline. Training tirelessly, he honed his skills, eventually earning his Black Belt in 1997.
Master JEH’s dedication paid off with numerous victories, including championships at the provincial and national levels. Even during his service in the US Navy, he continued to excel, representing the ALL Navy Taekwondo Team and earning accolades at the “All-Military Championships.”

Now, with over 25 years of experience and a 5th Degree (Dan) Black Belt, Master JEH is ready to share his passion and expertise with you. Join us at Master JEH’s Taekwondo to embark on your own journey of self-improvement and empowerment!

Old days World Taekwondo Championships

Last year chapters across BC provided over $90,000 in funding to help 229 kids participate in Taekwondo through B.C. Taekwondo Federation member clubs.

KidSport funding supports Sport BC member organizations and their local clubs by providing grants to help address the financial barriers many families face when registering their child in sport.

Calling all parents! Master JEH’s Taekwondo is now accepting applications for our After-School Program! 📚🥋 We’ll pick up your child from select schools and provide a balance of homework time and Taekwondo lessons. Ages 5-11 welcome! 🌟 Drop-off/Pick-up times from 3 PM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Program runs from September to June.
